Ingredients

– 2 cups falafel mix

– 1 carrot, shredded

– 1 onion, finely chopped

– 1-2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

– 2 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped

– 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

 

Procedure

You can easily buy falafel mix to make your own falafel at home following the instructions from the pack.

I would like to give you some tricks to get a better outcome without deep frying it =)

First, add water to the falafel mix you bought following the instructions from the pack, it’s about 2 parts of mix with 1 part of water.

When ready, add some fresh chopped vegetables to the falafel mix to get moisture, for example, carrot, onion, garlic and parsley.

Add a little more water and let it reabsorbs itself. Then, if possible, add a little more!

Make balls and smash them to get a hamburger patty.

Stir fry: Heat a pan into a medium heat, put olive oil and place the hamburger patties.

Fry for 3-4 minutes each side.

They were crunchy with a tender heart!

My husband loves sandwiches, so he made his own falafel sandwich with avocado, onions, lettuce and tomato slices!

Bake: Preheat the oven into 350F. Place a baking sheet in a baking pan.

Use a table spoon to shape the mixture and bake them for 10-15 minutes.

I made a cabbage salad as a side dish!

The next day, I made a simple and natural tomato sauce to have the last baked falafel balls for lunch!

Sauce is a good option to restore the moisture of baked falafel balls =)

Dandelion salad is my best green healthy option as a side dish!
